The Resource Balance publishes independent analysis on the security of essential resources — water, critical minerals, food and health — and on the institutions, data and claims that shape how those resources are governed.
Founded in 2026, the review works from a simple premise: decisions about resources are only as good as the evidence behind them, and a great deal of that evidence now reaches the public unexamined. We read the numbers, question the methods, and try to keep both columns of the ledger open — the risks of acting and the costs of not acting.
We are a small, independent publication. We do not campaign, endorse projects, or take positions on behalf of any operator, government or advocacy group. Our contributors write in a personal capacity.
